The COVID pandemic showed me how fleeting and fragile life could be. And I saw how precious the relationships I cherished were and are to me. So I started to realize that at some point I would want to get off the 60-80 hour per week train, take a little time, and just breathe.
I started this blog because when I finally got to a place that I was ready to figure out how to take a break there wasn’t a good, reliable, relatable source to learn how to put my idea into action. And I figured as I was gathering and curating information and resources that there might be other people like me who could benefit from that work and maybe get some help on the journey.
I also wanted to foster community to share, learn, grow, laugh and reflect.
On this site, you’ll find guidance for how to plan, budget, travel meaningfully (or stay home, if you choose), and navigate the emotions that come with choosing something different. However your journey looks, you don’t have to figure it out alone.
Let this be your starting point.
Think of it like your no pressure toolkit to go at the pace that works for you towards the career break that can change your life.
